Growing Up A Reader

Growing up a Reader is an interdisciplinary research project (Education, Psychology and English Literature) in collaboration with the Scottish Book Trust and Edinburgh’s Museum of Childhood, which aims to understand what it means to be a young reader in the 21stcentury, including what young people are reading and why.

Improving children’s reading: Research informing practice

In collaboration with 22 reading partnership schools across six local authorities, this project brought together teacher and researcher expertise and experience to improve children’s reading outcomes.  We continue to update our website with new resources which include research videos, teacher videos, blog and research posters.  Further information and all resources can be found here:  www.readresearch.education.ed.ac.uk
